Meet Our Team

    Dr. Randall Borri, DVM

Dr. Randy Borri graduated in 1970 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 1972, Dr. Borri founded Bristol Veterinary Service along with Co-founder Dr. Fred Culbert, now retired. Dr. Borri’s commitment to his profession has made Bristol Veterinary Service a familiar name in the Southern Wisconsin/Northern Illinois equine community.

Dr. Borri has spent the last 30+ years committed to the Equine industry. He excels in equine lameness, sport medicine, and reproduction. He attends continuing educational seminars yearly to be able to provide the latest in technique and technology.

He has been the past president of the Wisconsin Equine Practitioner Association (WEPA) and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the American Association of Equine Practitioner (AAEP) and the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association (WVMA). He is the on call veterinarian for the Wisconsin State Fair.

Together with his wife, Janice, they enjoy leisure days with their grandchildren. During his free time, Dr. Borri can also be found restoring old tractors.

    Dr. Heidi Jahnke, DVM

Heidi Jahnke, DVM is a 2006 graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine.  Dr. Jahnke came to us from northern Wisconsin with 12+ years of equine clinical experience.

Dr. Jahnke has spent most of her life involved with horses.  She was a member of the US Pony Club as a kid, and also showed in eventing and dressage.  She currently owns, rides, and trains 3 dressage horses. Professionally her interests include reproduction, dentistry, and performance horses.

When not practicing veterinary medicine or riding her horses, she and her husband enjoy hiking and travel.

Dr. Tamara Baranczyk, DVM, CVSMT, FCoAC

Dr. Baranczyk grew up just outside of Green Bay and is a true Wisconsinite at heart; she loves cheese and the Green Bay Packers! She has had a passion for horses all of her life and grew up riding her neighbor’s horses until she was fortunate enough to get her own in high school.

She graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018, following which she completed a year-long internship at Wisconsin Equine Clinic and Hospital encompassing medicine, surgery, reproduction, and field service. In the spring of 2024, Dr. Baranczyk successfully completed the most rigorous program in the country offered by the Healing Oasis Wellness Center in Sturtevant, Wisconsin to become certified in veterinary spinal manipulative therapy. She also successfully completed the competency exam offered by the College of Animal Chiropractic to become a fellow of the CoAC.

Dr. Baranczyk loves every aspect of equine veterinary medicine but has a special passion for wellness/preventive medicine, dentistry, emergency care, sports medicine, and complementary therapies including VSMT.
Outside of work she enjoys reading, sewing, and crocheting as well as everything outdoors including hiking, biking, wheeling, skiing and spending time with her two dogs, Toby and Dixie and her cat, Nova.

    Dr. Megan Curran, DVM

They say most veterinary dreams start long before training. This is most certainly true for Dr. Megan Curran. Dr. Curran grew up in Salem, WI, where she participated in 4H, showing cattle, pigs, and turkeys at the local fairs. When Dr. Curran was quite young, Dr. Borri made a vet visit to her family farm. As she watched him, she told him she wanted to be a vet when she grew up, too. He told her to go to school and he would hire her at Bristol Veterinary Services, and that’s just what she did!

Dr. Curran pursued her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian – working hard at school. She had amazing opportunities throughout her endeavors. She spent time doing research projects during her undergraduate studies, which included hepatology in Costa Rica, coral restoration in Bali, Indonesia, and sea turtle monitoring in St. Kitts. She graduated from Ross University of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical year there. She has worked with a wide variety of species over the years. Big and small, she loves them all. She is AI and Fear Free Certified.

In her spare time, she enjoys working out, spending time with her family, hiking with her dogs, seeking new adventures, and living her life to the absolute fullest.

Dr. Curran loves your pets as much as you do and looks forward to working together with you to keep them healthy for many years to come.
